About Me

p

As you can see, I don't develop rocket engines for NASA. You won't find me performing open heart surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital. I fancy the stock market but you won't find me forecasting the annual consumer price index either. If you're lucky, you can catch me on a fall day at a farm upstate on hands and knees. No, I didn't have a bad night, just picking out pumpkins for the next cover for Family Circle magazine.

If you allow me to explain myself, I am a professional chef by trade. As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America,
I took full advantage of the opportunities that being a chef offers. Traipsing across the continent working as a chef in Aspen, catering to many celebrities, then off to catering weddings on the sunny beaches of San Diego. A flight down to Cozumel, Mexico, found me revamping hotels (where I was then deported... long story). Back to my hometown of New York City where I have worked at many fine restaurants and even owned and managed successful catering businesses. I now live and work both in New York and California.

As a food consultant I now enjoy teaching, developing recipes and styling food for many magazine publications and for advertisers as well. To me, food is art and has always been a great love of mine in every shape and form. Having a strong desire to express myself artistically other than just preparing food for consumption, I decided to approach food in a different way. I now find myself roaming the supermarkets sipping coffee late into the night searching for my next food creation. This is why I drink.

Besides styling food, I am on the Cutco Cutlery Advisory Board. My fourth year on the board, i represent the worlds best selling knives by attending nationwide press events, local television appearances, Food Network appearances and judging cooking competitions throughout the country.
